He co-founded Leaf Forward, Canada's first venture backed cannabis accelerator, and national network of cannabis events. Alex held a senior role at an Ontario based licensed producer of cannabis; dabbled in politics, helping to elect the Mayor of Toronto; ran a public affairs strategy firm; and worked at Canada’s Embassy to the United States in Washington, D.C. Alex spends a lot of time on his bike, riding mostly short, sometimes medium and occasionally long distances.

As Founder and CEO of award-winning, independent creative company, Dot Dot Dash, she is responsible for producing content for tomorrow’s best brands including Patagonia, NASA, Greenpeace, Canada Post and Oceana. Blaine is also Co-founder of Business of Cannabis, a media platform focused on building the global cannabis sector through news and customized experiential events. She is also a founding member of the Global Cannabis Partnership, working to ensure a International standard for Corporate Social Responsibility in the cannabis sector. Blaine holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queens University.

In April 2019 at the O’Cannabiz Awards, Jay was nominated as the 2018 Cannabis Person of the Year and Business of Cannabis won Best News Source. Jay also serves the Immediate Past-President of the Paul Penna Downtown Jewish Day School Board of Directors, serves on the Program Advisory Committee for the Cannabis Education Program at Centennial College and is a soccer coach for the Soccer Club of Toronto.
